Bells’ Christmas Trees is actually part of Shady Maple Farm located in Accord, NY and nestled between the Shawangunk Ridge and the foothills of the Catskills. Shady Maple Farm was started in the early 1900’s by Jason Bell, Gordie’s grandfather. It operated as a dairy farm until 1990, milking upwards of 80 dairy cows. We planted our first trees as a hobby in 1991. With a leap of faith the dairy was sold and our hopes were buried in the ground with our crop of Christmas trees. Through hard work, diligent pursuit of knowledge and a good healthy helping of blessings we have become one of the largest cut your own Christmas tree farms in the Hudson Valley. We are now on to our 5th generation of farmer (we start them young!) and are so happy to be able to share our love of Christmas with your family by inviting you to our farm each year for this enduring family tradition of cutting your own Christmas tree.
Our goal is to provide quality, fresh cut trees to smiling faces year after year. We think the enthusiasm, hard work, knowledge, and atmosphere we provide will make your day nothing less than memorable.
